Animation, games, adventure; let's do it all, and do it together! Play life like a game: play co-op, and make it as colourful as possible!
I'm an arts student with a lifelong marriage to games and a bit of a hippy mentality. I want to create art and games to bring something new or interesting into the world and fill life with as many fun and colourful things as possible!
I'm currently a student of Computer Arts studying my Honours Year, with my dissertation on hybridising tabletop and digital media in social games. While I'm studying this, I've also worked hard with other like-minded students to create Wrench Games, a games studio based in Dundee which is currently producing a number of games, two of which were of my original design.
Due to this, we spend a lot of time travelling to conventions and events, both to promote our company and to spend as much time meeting and learning from industry professionals and similar designs as possible~
BA Computer Arts
Studying a variety of different research methodologies into computer arts as a field.
Gaining a mixture of software education and practical lectures for real world uses of our education, as well as a mix between 2D and 3D animation due to the open-ended nature of our briefs. I’ve spent my time learning a variety of topics from 2D concept art, animations principles and game design theory (both digital and tabletop).
HND 3D Animation (Computer Digital Arts)
Studying 3D Animation, with a focus on software technical skills and sketchbook work.
3DS Max is the primary software we use for 3D work, along with Premiere, After Effects and Audition in the pipeline.
Digital Printing (Intern)
I took a month and a half internship working in Mutual Media’s digital printing department, learning to operate the digital printer to take graphic designs (such as business cards, leaflets, posters) and bring them to print and cut them ready for circulation.
